- After your initial consultation if you would like detailed dietary guidance request a nutritional consultation. We will review your current diet and look for patterns that could be causing illness. Sharing health problems is difficult but having lymphoma in a stage four basis, I was given the greatest amount of chemo that would kill the body and allow the bone marrow transplant to revive the damage the cancer and chemo had done. I was left with severe problems of no energy even after four years of treatment. I had developed a very painful case of neuropathy in my feet. I have tried many things to get better and won't give up on having good health again and when I found out about acupuncture with Tera Matsuda I was certainly willing to give it a try. With each treatment my neuropathy reduced and now only have about 1% of the pain that I once suffered with. My name is Steve Lasslo - most folks in Carbon County just call me Mr. because I have taught second grade in the area for 41 years and am almost a household word around here. I am 62 at the time of this story. My wife and I went to Moab, Utah over the Thanksgiving holiday in 2014 to give Mountain Biking on the Slickrock trails a try. Long story short - I fell onto my shoulder and ended up with a serious deep bruise. I could not reach behind myself to buckle a seatbelt for two weeks, and much of my flexibility was lost. I could not sleep through the night without getting up to take over the counter medications. (LOTS OF THEM - TOO MANY OF THEM IN FACT). After thinking it had to get better since nothing seemed to be broken I tried Acupuncture with Mr. Matsuda. I will admit I was very skeptical, but the thought of spending $1000.00 on an MRI or more on X-rays or CAT SCANS, and being put on loads of narcotics for pain management didn't appeal to me. WOW - What a surprise. After the very first visit I regained nearly full mobility in my injured arm. After a few days I noticed the arm continuing to improve, and with a treatment session once a week for two more weeks I can sleep through the night again and I am back to my old self. I have told my story to perhaps two dozen people and am deciding if I really ever need to go to a conventional doctor again with a bone/bruise injury. "I started seeing Tera December 2014 for various issues all stemming from an autoimmune disorder that I was diagnosed with in January 2003. Rapid improvement began July 2016 when Tera told me about a process he had recently learned that was designed specifically to address autoimmune illnesses. Before starting the process my quarterly blood test, the most current was taken the first part of a May, showed a blood (CK) level 53 points above normal. After one month of treatments, the August test showed the levels had dropped 80 points, well within normal range. Hello! I just wanted to briefly share with anyone curious about the benefits of acupuncture for pain relief (especially those who may be skeptical to try something outside the norm) how acupuncture has helped my fiance Kirk in his recovery from a severe work-related automobile accident just over a year ago. It has been the ONLY thing that has made a significant impact in his quality of life and it is only just the beginning (he just had his fourth session). We are so excited at the potential for pain relief he will get with continued care. The traditional medicine route was just not working for Kirk; his pain management doctor has tried steroid injections and radio-frequency on the nerves in his back with little success in even short-term relief. He cannot take any pain medications without suffering from SEVERE nausea (and believe me, we have tried them all …from pills to patches). So far the immediate benefits of acupuncture include an intense feeling of calm and relaxation during each session and the pain in his upper body, neck and shoulders has lessened a bit. Most of Kirk’s pain comes from his lower back and dgoes down his right leg, then it with every step he makes while walking it burns from his foot right up to his back again; so it’s a double whammy that has had him using a cane for over a year now. I am very thankful that Worker’s Compensation has agreed to the trial session of 6 treatments and hope they will also allow further sessions if this one continues to provide extended relief.
